Alpha Northern's "standard freelance contract" demands Multiple use in all titles, web use and perpetual use for a one-off payment of £3 (or less). The management claims this is standard throughout the Alpha chain (Prop. Lord Kilclooney) - some 26 titles.

No shift rate - roughly £6 and £3 per picture published. Yes I said published. They impose a top limit of £50 per job (which takes some earning but I've done over £80) but no guarantee or lower limit. For that they want perpetual re-use throughout the chain. Best avoided. I tried to educate one manager but it ended in court.
What sort of job or shift rates do they pay?
